Although they might not admit it, the biggest number of guests comes to the event in the municipality of Bilje to enjoy something that other parts of Croatia do not have: the unique offer of fish dishes, especially fish stew whose scent is carried by the late afternoon breeze all the way to Osijek’s Sjenjak. The specific sweet smell of carps on boughs bring the taste of the Danube River and Kopački Rit. A ‘Carp in uniform’ is a real treat for real fishermen and lovers of rivers and wetlands. The food offer varies from roasted ox to fish specialties. The youngest visitors will have a unique opportunity to participate in ethno pottery workshops, where they can try their hand at the pottery wheel, while the older ones can enjoy making brandy in the real distillery pot. They can have fun on the wooden ethno carousel, jump through the straw arranged by the Association Straw from Lug, and all guests can take a ride in the farm wagons and carriage. In today's era of hurry and superficiality, Ethno meetings take us back to the past, which, although in many ways poorer and more difficult, has a lot to say to modernity.
