The gourmets will have a chance to taste and enjoy delicious seafood dishes at the Days of Seashells organized on the territory of northwestern Istria by the Tourist Boards of Umag, Novigrad, Brtonigla and Buje. The culinary delicacies will be served with high quality local wines and olive oils the area is widely known for. Istrian seashells such as scallops, mussels, sea truffles, queen scallops and oysters have a distinct taste thanks to the clean seabed of the local sea. The organizers highlight that seashells have a special charm when consumed in winter.

8th International Gastronomy, Hotel and Restaurant Equipment, Food, Beverage and Gatronomic Innovations Fair. Each day of the fair, authentic dishes from different regions of Croatia will be prepared and offered for tasting. The visitors will have a chance to enjoy various attractions: competition of chefs and bartenders, interactive culinary workshops, gastro presentations and tastings for visitors, counseling sessions, seminars, round tables, and specialized workshops. At CRO TOP 10, the traditional culinary competition organized as part of the event, the best Croatian chefs will be creating small culinary masterpieces from ingredients that will be revealed to them just before the competition. The event will continue with the Croatian Wine Exchange project (Burza hrvatskih vina), the goal of which is to offer the best Croatian wines in one place. Kuharevo vino, the wine recommended by the chef, is the name of the project on the basis of which the famous Croatian chefs and winemakers will present how wines and culinary specialties are best combined.
