Urbanovo starts with the 8th Pušipel Festival, the wine and winemaking equipment fair, which will be held from 13 to 15 May, continues on 20 and 21 May with the Days of Open Cellars on the Međimurje wine road where every wine house will have its own program, and the feast of St. Urban (patron saint of winemakers) on 21 and 22 May. Urbanovo will end on 27 May with a traditional Wine ball in the restaurant Terbotz. Admission fee is 70.00 Kuna.

Tastings of Istrian white wine blend and Muscat rose by, for now, secret manufacturers will be held on Friday. Also, Davor Šišović will pair different Istrian cheese of the Latus dairy with different styles of Istrian wines in perhaps unexpected ways. Saturday will be full of interesting tastings; there will be a presentation and tasting of Pazin’s cukerančić, traditional sweets from central Istria paired with Malvasia of that region, followed by a tasting of Moscato of the WOW association. Saturday will end with a tasting of Malvasia from four different soils (white, gray, red and black soil) from the Brtonigla region. Dalmatia is this year’s guest region and thus, on Sunday there will be a tasting of plavac mali moderated by Zoran Pejović and Joanne Ahearne (Master of Wine). The final tasting will also be the presentation of the Istrian wine cellar Lunika and their wines without sulphites.

The Krka Green Table is a project with an exhibition and sales character launched in 2015, and designed for the registered producers of indigenous agricultural products and handicrafts in the immediate and wider area of Krka National Park. The overall objective is to improve cooperation with the local population and to promote local products in Krka National Park, while the specific objective is to support locals in the production and marketing of their products.

The sardine is the fishermen's favourite. It has been dubbed the queen of the sea because it was the primary food source for many generations. Sardines are a living proof that healthy food does not have to be expensive! Sardines (lat. Sardina pilchardus) are small, oily fish of the herring family. The largest sardine fishing grounds are located in the western Mediterranean and the Adriatic where the sardines are the primary fish species of exploitation. Sardines are fished throughout the year on nights where the new moon hangs in the sky, but those fished in May and June are supposedly of the best quality, especially if used for salting. From 24 to 31 May sardines will find their place on the menus of the caterers in Rijeka and its surrounding area, who will demonstrate the endless possibilities of dish creations based on this small fish.
